Gabi, A Girl in Pieces
2015 Morris Finalist.
This book sings and soars and makes you laugh. The diction is PERFECT; we're in Gabi's head the entire time, whether she's writing poetry, chatting w/ her friends, or just rehashing life in her journal.
Glad to own this. You'll want a copy too.

Thin Space = Go Read This Right Now
Unbelievable voice. So absolutely gripping. Highly recommend.
A story about grief and death and identity. Boy narrator. Delicious. Completely delicious and genre-defying.

Can't We Talk About Something More Pleasant?
Saw this on display at my library and grabbed it for my sister, who loves comics and nonfiction. She read it while I was in Wisconsin and I just finished it.
Outstanding book. Funny and sad and dear god, are all immigrant parents the alike in the same depressing ways?
Also, the title is a line my mother is FAMOUS for saying. Especially when my dad and I would debate politics at the dinner table.

Sweetness #9 by Stephan Eirik Clark
This book is delightful and witty and funny and will make going to the supermarket a fraught experience.
